Welcoming you by the company’s representatives at Tbilisi International Airport and then take the car and go to the hotel to pick up the rooms.
After breakfast at the hotel, drive to David Gareja. It is located in the Kakheti region. One of the most exciting places to visit. The cave monastery complex consists of several buildings. The origins of the monastery complex go back to one of the 13 Syrian fathers named David. Then we drive to Bodbe. The Bodbe Women’s Monastery is one of the most famous monasteries in the country. The small chapel on the right behind the church ruins is dedicated to St. Nino. (St. Nino brought Christianity to Georgia in the 4th century.)
From Bodbe, we move to the It is a small, beautiful city of Sighnaghi, also called “The City of Love”. A lot has been restored and modernized in Sighnaghi in recent years. Overnight at the hotel in Tbilisi
After breakfast in the hotel, start with the capital Tbilisi. Here
you will visit the following sights: ancient sulfur baths, Georgian Orthodox, Armenian Gregorian churches, Jewish synagogue, and Turkish mosque, which stand one after the other and show how the different believers prayed side by side. Tbilisi is and has always been a tolerant city with a large multinational society. Continue to Metechi Church, where you can hear the legend of the founding of Tbilisi. From the Metechi Plateau, you can also have a wonderful view over the old town and the Kura River (Mtkvari). Nearby is also a Narikala fortress. You can take the cable car from Europaplatz to Narikala Fortress. Narikala Castle as a defensive fortress was built in the 4th century. Here you will also discover Shardeni Street with its fashionable, cozy cafes and art galleries. You will walk to one of the oldest churches in the city of Anchischati Church (6th century). One of the oldest and most valuable icons with the face of Jesus Christ was kept in the church. Then you can take a walk through Rustaveli Street. On Rustaveli Street you have a good opportunity to visit the famous opera and ballet theatres of Tbilisi, see museums and various cultural places. The journey goes towards Mtskheta. Mtskheta is now a religious center in the country. There are numerous valuable cultural monuments in Mtskheta and its surroundings. They are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Among them is the medieval (1010-1029) Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (“Life-giving Pillar”), where the robe of Christ is buried. Jvari (cross) monastery from the 6th century. From here you can see the confluence of Mtkvari (Kura) and Aragvi. Then the drive to Chardakhi village. Close to Mtskheta where you can visit a local family and have the opportunity to hear interesting stories about Georgian vine. You can also get interesting information at the local traditional wine preparation. You also take part in the preparation of Georgian food yourself and then you can drink Georgian wine and dinner made with your own hands. After dinner, drive to Tbilisi. After breakfast in the hotel, you will have a breathtaking drive to Kazbegi. You drive along the Tergi River through the Georgian military road. First, you stop in Ananuri and visit the fortress and Jinvali reservoir. We continue to Kazbegi.
From Kazbegi you will walk through beautiful valleys and forests to the Gergeti Trinity Church, which is over 2,170 m. It takes about an hour and a half or you can drive from Kazbegi to Gergeti Trinity Church by jeep. When the weather is nice, you may catch a glimpse of one of the highest and most legendary glaciers in the Caucasus – Kazbegi (5,047m). Overnight in Gudauri
After breakfast, you drive from Gudauri to Passanauri. In Passanauri you will have a rafting tour that lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes, during which time you will row about 11 km. This is an easy rafting tour. Then you would have a delicious picnic directly in nature and free time to play various fun games. In the evening you drive back to Tbilisi. Overnight in Tbilisi
After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Uplistsikhe. Uplistsikhe is a fortress and cave city. It is located near the town of Gori, was founded in the Bronze Age and was populated by people from the 16th century BC. It is one of the earliest settlements in the world. The next destination is Gori. Here you can visit Ioseph Stalin’s house museum and train carriage. Overnight in Tbilisi
After breakfast, we will head to Tbilisi International Airport with our wishes for a happy return flight.
