Itinerary

Day 1Transfer from Airport to Hotel ( Arrival )

Welcoming you by the company’s representatives at Kutaisi International Airport and then take the car and go to the hotel to pick up the rooms.

Day 2Kutaisi Tour- Prometheus Cave City

After the delicious breakfast, tour of the historic city of Kutaisi. Capital of Imereti. Attractions in Kutaisi: The Gelati Academy and Monastery. The Gelati ensemble consists of three churches, the bell tower and the academy building. The facility has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1994. Bagrati Cathedral from the 11th century. Prometheus Cave City – A few kilometers from Kutaisi is a cave complex that was discovered by Georgian researchers in the early 1980s. The main cave accessible today is connected to a large number of sinuses by underground rivers. Overnight in Kutaisi

Day 3Kutaisi-Okatse Canyon-Marvili Canyon-Kutaisi

After breakfast at the hotel, start the day with a visit to the Okatse Canyon, one of the most popular gorges in Georgia. Extreme athletes can enjoy the beautiful nature from the upper section, walk through the hanging bridge and visit the 70-meter waterfall. Then drive to Martvili Canyon, where the area offers interesting opportunities. You can row here on the Abasha River by boat and enjoy the beautiful view of the mountain river gorge. Day 4Kutaisi-Rabati Fortress-Riding in Atskuri-Bakuriani

After breakfast in Kutaisi, you will drive to Akhaltsikhe and visit Rabati fortress. The fairytale fortress from the 9th century. The fortress was the residence of the Jakheli family, which was conquered by the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century. Nowadays, Georgia is an important tourist attraction. Then drive to Atskuri. It is one of the oldest settlements in Georgia and is located in the southern part of the country between the cities of Borjomi and Akhaltsikhe. Atskuri is located on the border of the Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park and the area offers good opportunities to ride horses. While riding you will learn interesting stories about horses and territory from your travel guide. Riding takes about an hour and then drive to Bakuriani. Overnight in Bakuriani.

Day 5Bakuriani-Borjomi- Mtskheta-Tbilisi

After breakfast in the hotel, you drive to Borjomi. Here you can visit “Borjomi National Park”. The most important medicinal springs in the village are still on the territory of the park. The waters of the various springs have a healing effect. You can have different types of Borjomi mineral water tasted on the spot. Then Mtskheta. Mtskheta is now a religious center in the country. In Mtskheta is the medieval (1010-1029) Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (“Life-giving column”), where the robe of Christ is buried. Jvari (cross) monastery from the 6th century. Day 6Tbilisi-Bodbe Monastery-Sighnaghi-Tbilisi

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Bodbe. It is located in the Kakheti region. Bodbe Women’s Monastery is one of the most famous monasteries in the country. The small chapel on the right behind the church ruins is dedicated to St. Nino. (St. Nino brought Christianity to Georgia in the 4th century.)
From Bodbe, after we go to a small, beautiful city named ” The City of Love” – Sighnaghi. A lot has been restored and modernized in Sighnaghi in recent years. Overnight at the hotel in Tbilisi.

Day 7Tbilisi tour

After breakfast in the hotel, start with the capital Tbilisi. Here you will visit the following sights: old sulfur baths, Georgian Orthodox and Armenian Gregorian churches, Jewish synagogue and Turkish mosque, which they stand one after the other and show how the different believers had prayed next to each other Tbilisi can hear. From the Metekhi Plateau, you can also have a wonderful view over the old town and the Kura River (Mtkvari). Nearby is also a Narikala fortress. You can take the cable car from Europa Park to Narikala Fortress. Narikala Castle as a defensive fortress was built in the 4th century. Day 8Tbilisi-Gori-Uplistsikhe-Kutaisi

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Uplistsikhe. Uplistsikhe is a fortress and cave city. It is located near the town of Gori, was founded in the Bronze Age and was populated by people from the 16th century BC. It is one of the earliest settlements in the world. The next destination is Gori. the homeland of Stalin, to visit Stalin’s house, museum and train wagon. At the Stalin museum, learn about the life of Stalin at the exhibit which includes unique photos, gifts, and furniture. After the museum, we will head back to the Kutaisi. Overnight in Kutaisi

Day 9Transfer from Hotel to Airport ( Departure )

After breakfast, we will head to Kutaisi International Airport with our wishes for a happy return flight.
